Christopher 2nd November 2021

It was 11:34 in the morning on this day last year, 11:34 precisely, when I took a picture of a less well-trodden area of Knepp Wildland. I was on my way to visit Mum, checking out Shipley, one of her favourite places, as a suitable location for a walk later on that unusually bright and calm November day, much like it is today. On the road between Dial Post and Shipley I pulled over to answer a call of nature and thought the view of Knepp worth a picture. Exiting camera mode I noticed several messages on my mobile from my brother-in-law Charles Slack that had remained on hold while I was driving. Within a minute of this being taken I learned that Mum had passed away earlier. It still seems like only moments ago.
